This moving company did a fantastic job!! My husband had nothing but positive things to say about the crew who packed up our household in Fairbanks; and I have nothing but positive things to say about the crew who delivered and unpacked our belongings in Anchorage. I am shocked at how they lifted and moved some extraordinarily heavy items so smoothly without damage or even a scrape on a wall. They were also very kind and patient with me as we navigated a LOT of stuff with some small spaces–which took some expertise and finesse on their part. They went above and beyond our expectations. I have never had such a stress-free move 😆❤️
Such a great crew! Packed my entire home FILLED with fragile items in 2 days AND I’ve been unpacking and haven’t found a single thing broken. 10/10 recommend to anyone who is nervous about packing or first time big movers.

Norman, Ben, and Sione did an awesome job delivering and unpacking. Fast and professional, I would use these guys every time if I could.
Outstanding work! I used Continental Van to move my mother from Wasilla to Anchorage. Ken set me up in a timely manner, and was quick on the callbacks and followthrough. The 3 man moving crew were professional, respectful and diligent with the pack up, taking care with fragile items. They also made the delivery and unpack an easy and positive experience for my anxious 70+ mother. The borrow/return totes saved my family a lot of money, it shows Continental Van thinks of their customers first. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will definately use again!

How to Choose a Moving Company in Wasilla
Vetting movers in Wasilla matters because weather, ferries, and long distances can affect timelines and costs. Local and intrastate moves follow Alaska rules, while interstate moves require federal registration. Confirming credentials and scope upfront reduces surprises on moving day.
🛡️ Licensing and insurance
For interstate moves, verify USDOT and MC numbers. For local or intrastate, check Alaska registration and active cargo and liability coverage.
❄️ Experience with Alaska logistics
Weather, ferries, and remote access can shift schedules. Ask about similar routes, contingency plans, and winter operations.
💰 Transparent estimates
Request line-item quotes. Clarify stairs, long carries, shuttles, storage, and fuel surcharges, plus binding versus not-to-exceed terms.
⭐ Reviews and dispute handling
Scan recent feedback for patterns in care and communication. Ask how claims are filed, timelines, and who handles resolutions.
📦 Scope of services
Decide if you need packing, crating, storage, or specialty handling. Compare delivery windows, tracking, and valuation options.
📍 Availability and coverage
Confirm crew size for your date and whether the company serves both origin and destination without subcontracting.
Practical Moving Tips
Moving to Wasilla, AK means planning around Glenn/Parks Highway traffic, strong Matanuska winds, and real winter. Make sure a truck can reach the house, get heat and utilities live before unloading, and protect anything that can’t handle cold or moisture.
- Pick your date with slack. Avoid commute windows on the Glenn/Parks; add a buffer day for wind or ice delays.
- Confirm truck access. Check driveway grade, width, weight limits, and turning space. A steep or narrow approach may need sanding or a smaller shuttle truck.
- Wind-proof your packing. Use sturdy totes, shrink-wrap, and furniture covers; avoid open-top boxes and loose blankets on gusty days.
- Get heat and utilities on first. Arrange heating oil/propane or wood/pellets, start electric and internet, and verify water/septic details before delivery.
- Winterize vehicles. Block heater, strong battery, proper coolant, true winter tires, and an outdoor plug where you park.
- Protect freeze-sensitive items. Skip shipping liquids that can burst; keep meds, electronics, and important papers with you instead of in a cold truck.
- Stage parking and snow control. Leave room for the truck to turn around, clear/mark the path from door to truck, stock ice melt and traction aids.
- First-week kit. Warm layers, boots, bedding, cookware, toiletries, headlamp, power bank, basic tools, and a small pantry supply in case weather slows errands.
