This moving company did a fantastic job!! My husband had nothing but positive things to say about the crew who packed up our household in Fairbanks; and I have nothing but positive things to say about the crew who delivered and unpacked our belongings in Anchorage. I am shocked at how they lifted and moved some extraordinarily heavy items so smoothly without damage or even a scrape on a wall. They were also very kind and patient with me as we navigated a LOT of stuff with some small spaces–which took some expertise and finesse on their part. They went above and beyond our expectations. I have never had such a stress-free move 😆❤️
Such a great crew! Packed my entire home FILLED with fragile items in 2 days AND I’ve been unpacking and haven’t found a single thing broken. 10/10 recommend to anyone who is nervous about packing or first time big movers.

High fives to Kone and Nio for being exceptional movers! They worked non-stop to pack up my house over 2 days. I had large items, fragile goods, plus a motorcycle that they packed with care for its long journey to the lower 48. These are some of the hardest-working guys I’ve seen, and definitely the best crew of movers I’ve ever worked with. They were friendly, professional, courteous, showed up on time, and stayed late to make sure everything got done; all while being short one crew member and traveling to a remote location. I couldn’t be happier with the work they did – thank you!!!
⭐THANK YOU Royal Alaskan Movers ⭐ for moving my family and saving my husband’s back! After a fast paced move, the majority of my belonging were stuck in storage. After a call to Royal, we were able to get everything moved in a few hours! The crew was prompt and extremely courteous and careful with all our belongings! Scheduling was fast as well. I called and they came out the next morning! We were moved in less than 4 hours! I would give 10 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

How to Choose a Moving Company in Knik-Fairview
Vetting movers in Knik-Fairview matters because weather, ferries, and long distances can affect timelines and costs. Local and intrastate moves follow Alaska rules, while interstate moves require federal registration. Confirming credentials and scope upfront reduces surprises on moving day.
🛡️ Licensing and insurance
For interstate moves, verify USDOT and MC numbers. For local or intrastate, check Alaska registration and active cargo and liability coverage.
❄️ Experience with Alaska logistics
Weather, ferries, and remote access can shift schedules. Ask about similar routes, contingency plans, and winter operations.
💰 Transparent estimates
Request line-item quotes. Clarify stairs, long carries, shuttles, storage, and fuel surcharges, plus binding versus not-to-exceed terms.
⭐ Reviews and dispute handling
Scan recent feedback for patterns in care and communication. Ask how claims are filed, timelines, and who handles resolutions.
📦 Scope of services
Decide if you need packing, crating, storage, or specialty handling. Compare delivery windows, tracking, and valuation options.
📍 Availability and coverage
Confirm crew size for your date and whether the company serves both origin and destination without subcontracting.
Practical Moving Tips
Moving to Knik-Fairview, AK means planning for Mat-Su winters, hills, and longer drives on the Parks and Glenn highways. Lock in housing and utilities early, think through truck access, and protect anything that can’t handle deep cold or moisture.
- Pick timing and add buffer days. Winter moves run slower; storms and ice can shift pickup and delivery.
- Check driveway and truck access. Steep or unplowed approaches may need sanding or a smaller shuttle truck. Measure doorways and stairwells for large pieces.
- Set up heat and utilities before arrival. Arrange fuel (oil/propane or wood/pellets), start electric service, and schedule internet ahead of move day.
- Winterize vehicles. Install a block heater, verify battery and coolant, use true winter tires, and confirm an outdoor plug where you’ll park.
- Protect freeze-sensitive items. Don’t ship liquids that can burst; keep meds, electronics, and key documents with you rather than in a cold truck.
- Prepare a first-week kit. Warm layers, boots, bedding, cookware, toiletries, basic tools, headlamp, extension cords, and a small stash of food and water.
- Plan for road conditions year-round. In winter, keep ice melt and traction aids; in summer, expect construction and occasional wildfire smoke—have filters or an air purifier.
- Wildlife and safety. Give moose space on local roads, use wildlife-safe trash, and keep an outage kit ready (flashlights, power bank, batteries, CO detector).
